Youshan Wang is Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the Institute of Composite Materials and Structures, School of Astronautics, Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT). He also serves as Vice President of National Defense Technology Research Institute at HIT (Weihai), Deputy Director of National Engineering Laboratory for Tire Design & Manufacturing Technology, editorial board member of Tire Industry, and Jiangsu Provincial Dual Innovation Talent.With over 20 years of research on rubber composites, tire mechanics and structural optimization, he has presided over more than 80 research projects including major NSFC programs, National Defense 973 Projects and provincial key innovation special projects. He proposed three original tire design theories and independently developed eight sets of tire simulation software. He has published over 60 academic papers and obtained 21 authorized invention patents. His research has won the First Prize of Heilongjiang Technical Invention and two Second Prizes of Military Science & Technology Progress. His technical achievements have been widely applied in leading domestic tire manufacturers to advance aerospace and civil tire industries.
