Professor Qiuyu Zhang is a doctoral supervisor at the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Northwestern Polytechnical University. She is a national leading talent, Fellow of the Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China and the Royal Society of Chemistry, and Director of the MIIT Key Laboratory of Special Functional and Intelligent Polymer Materials. She received her B.S. from Beijing Institute of Chemical Technology, M.S. from Institute of Chemistry, CAS, and Ph.D. in Materials Science from NPU, and completed a Royal Society research fellowship in the UK. Her research covers organic porous materials, intelligent functional polymers, organic-inorganic hybrid composites, energy catalysis and aerospace special polymers. She has led over 30 national key projects including national major science and technology programs and national defense basic research. She has published more than 400 SCI papers and holds over 140 authorized patents, winning over ten national and provincial science & technology awards with industrialized technologies. She serves as editorial board member for multiple core journals, and has been honored as National Model Woman Achiever and Outstanding Talent of Shaanxi Province, engaging in polymer and national defense talent cultivation for over 30 years.
